Come to this informative session designed to introduce people who can be helpful to you as you manage your health needs and health insurance questions. There will be a quick introduction of the panel members and the BMC grad health insurance website, and then a free forum for discussion and questions.
Dr. Kay Kerr and Sally Heimann from the BMC Health Center, Lea Miller from Student Administrative Support, and Patti Lausch from the International Programs Office will be joining us.

Undergrad students and graduate students will have the opportunity to sit down together to talk about academic/college life, undergraduate experiences and any other questions or concerns on undergraduates' minds. Topics that may be covered (if there is interest) include: the importance of time management and organization, successful study skills that have worked for us as graduate students, how to build relationships with professors for future contacts/support, the importance of building a resume with internships and other summer opportunities, etc.

Listen up GSAS students - getting external funding for your research is always a good thing! And
Dr. Nona Smith, Director of Sponsored Research, has you covered. Dr. Smith recently spoke to students about the value of finding external grants and fellowships as part of the GSA's Professional Development Speaker Series, and presented strategies for getting that funding. Whether you're just beginning your search, or need someone to read over your proposal, Dr. Smith said that her office is available to help.

Bryn Mawr College undergraduates recently got tips and suggestions on what to consider when visiting a graduate program. As part of the
Graduate Connections program, GSAS students Ryan Fealy, Tina Morgan-Ross, Steven Karacic, and Laura Surtees answered questions from about a dozen students on things to keep in mind when selecting a graduate program.

The annual GSA Winter Formal is this Friday from 7:30 to 11:00 PM in the Dorthy Vernon Room. In Steve K.'s words,
The event will include an open bar, snacks, music, and a gingerbread house competition. The competition will begin at 9 pm, when those in attendance will divide into four teams to construct their houses. For the competition, the GSAS will provide gingerbread, frosting, candy, and a prize to the winning house.
