Graduate Student Intramural Sports Program

The intramural sports program is an informal program that was created in collaboration with other graduate student programs on campus. It was designed to provide meeting times for graduate students to participate in various sports on campus. No experience or formal commitment are required. All graduate students and significant others are invited to participate in the programs. All programs occur in the Bern Schwartz Gymnasium or Pool unless otherwise noted. Please note that program times are subject to change due to college sports team schedules.

Basketball:
Mondays and Thursdays: Noontime hoops from 12:15 - 1:30. Includes faculty and staff members.

Volleyball:
Wednesdays: 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Fall session runs from September 6th through October 11th. Contact Joan for more information.

Badminton:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 12 noon. Includes faculty and staff members.

Soccer:
Date and time to be determined. Contact Mark for more information.

Tennis:
Saturdays: 10 am - noon. Tennis occurs from September 9th through October 7th, weather permitting. Experience is necessary. Contact Michelle for more information.

Karate:
Tuesdays: 6:30-7:30
Fridays: 5:00 - 6:30
Karate occurs on the aerobics floor in Schwartz. No experience is needed. Just bring is yourself and some loose fitting clothes to move about in.

Ballroom Dancing:
Learn dancing styles that are used in social venues, including Latin, rhythm, standard, and smooth. No partner or experience are necessary! Cost is $25 for a six week session at the University of Pennsylvania. Visit the Dancing Site for more information.

Swimming:
The Masters Swim Team is a training program sponsored by Bryn Mawr Swimming and United States Masters Swimming for members of the Bryn Mawr College Community who are 18 years of age and older. Members will have the opportunity to swim a workout designed and supervised by a coach with the goal of improving cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and swimming technique.
